Before editing these options you'll need to create a ShippingEasy connection in GroovePacker. Please see this article for details.
There are two ways to access your ShippingEasy connection settings. Clicking on the settings gear at the top of the GroovePacker interface will show you a list of connections. Clicking the name of the ShippingEasy connection will open the settings. I've you've imported orders at least once before it's also possible to hover the mouse over the "Import Orders" button to reveal the import summary popup. The ShippingEasy icon is a clickable link to your connection settings.
There are a number of switches to configure your ShippingEasy connection to GroovePacker, let's look at these next.
Refer to this image:
Under 'Import Orders with following statuses,'
- Orders List: When enabled, orders found in the ShippingEasy Orders List will be imported. You will want to leave this disabled for most workflows.
- Ready to Ship: When enabled, orders found in the ShippingEasy Ready to Ship list will be imported. This is the option to choose if you will be creating shipping labels on at a time after each order is packed. In this workflow you'll vet new orders in the ShippingEasy orders list. Those that will be shipping on that day will have their Packing Slip printed and a shipment will be created (meaning they get moved to the ready to ship list in ShippingEasy.) This can be done for individual orders or for a selection of orders. Now that the orders have been moved to the ready to ship list they will be imported into GroovePacker when you click the import orders button in GroovePacker.
- Shipped: When enabled, GroovePacker will import orders that are marked as Shipped in ShippingEasy. This is used if you print your shipping labels in bulk or batches before packing. In this workflow, after the shipping labels are created in ShippingEasy the orders will have a status of Shipped. They can then be imported into GroovePacker by clicking the Import Orders button.
Require Tracking Number: In some workflows the Tracking number is used to Cue the order, in other cases the tracking number is used to verify the Shipping Label before it is applied to the shipment. When these options are enabled you'll want to enable this switch. It will prevent orders from being imported into GroovePacker until the tracking number is associated with the order in ShippingEasy.
Display Alternate Order number: In some cases the original order number from the order source will be different than the order number assigne by ShippingEasy. Enabling this switch will force GroovePacker to use the other order number if it is available.
On-Demand Import: If you scan an order number to cue an order for scanning and the order is not found in GroovePacker, this option will try to import the specific order that was scanned directly from ShippingEasy. Please not that if the "require tracking number" option is enabled the order will not be imported unless it has a tracking number.
Generate Barcode from SKU will automatically create a barcode in GroovePacker identical to the SKU of the item. If you use the same value for your barcode and sku this will eliminate the need to setup new products before scanning. If your barcode and SKU do not match for all items please be sure this is disabled.
The ShippingEasy Printing Popup switch is used when shipping labels are printed after packing orders (see the "ready to ship" workflow above). When enabled GroovePacker will open ShippingEasy in a popup window* and display the order that was just packed so the shipping label can be printed. Please find more info on this feature here.
*Please be sure your browser is set to allow popups from GroovePacker.com
Large Popup: When enabled the size of the popup window is increased.
Multiple Lines Per SKU Accepted: In most cases multiple instances of the same SKU will be on one row in a ShippingEasy order. Some shopping carts or marketplaces may not follow this convention. If this is the case and the additional line item instances are missed, you can enable this option which should preserve.
Allow duplicate order id: Normally order numbers are unique, meaning that two or more orders will not share the same order number. If you have orders from multiple stores importing orders into ShippingEasy it is recommended to add a Prefix to the order number so that order numbers will never have conflicts. If this is not possible you can enable this option which will permit multiple orders sharing the same order number.
